Dinosaurs are off the table, not even ambush tactics would work, as the Postosuchus would need to literally sneak up right next to a Coelophysis in order to have any hope of snatching it. It’s a snail in its own environment and is just lucky enough that there is a large herbivore as slow as it is to prey on. But while leopard seals are at least deadly in their element (the water), the Postosuchus has no such excuse. How exactly could the Postosuchus pose a threat to the Coelophysis or any other dinosaur when they could easily outrun it without even running? By all accounts, the Coelophysis could mock the Postosuchus in its face without facing any consequences, much like the penguins with the leopard seal on land in Happy Feet. She was seemingly doing just fine before moving around like an invalid. Yeah, I don’t see why her leg injury was such a problem to her. The one we follow always walks in such a slow, jerky manner, almost like she was crippled long before actually being crippled. They are so obsolete and behind-the-times compared to the dinosaurs and stem-mammals that they even forgot to evolve speed and are as slow as molasses. When you think about it, Postosuchus along with Placerias are the most ineffectual animals in the Walking with Dinosaurs universe. “New Blood” tries to paint it as this scary predator that strikes fear into the hearts of all other Triassic wildlife, but how exactly can it do that when it’s only able to move at the speed of an old man with a walker? Ever noticed how Postosuchus in the Walking with… was nerfed way, way worse than even the terror birds?
